The dominant activity is meta-work: configuring the AI system that helps you do the work. The second is starting new things. Actual product work (1Q, the flagship shipped app) gets squeezed.
3. The Meeting Load
Blind. No calendar access. Your life system says 4PM hard stop, but shell activity shows 19:00-21:00 is your most active window (561 commands at 7/8/9 PM). Either meetings fill daytime, or the 4PM stop isn't holding.
Longest unbroken focus block visible: May 13, approximately 07:00-22:00 with sustained xcodebuild + Claude activity. Exceptional. Most days show scattered bursts across 2-3 hour windows.
4. What I Started But Haven't Finished
OneQuestion v4 PR1 - code-complete May 13, never shipped to TestFlight. 11 days idle.
open-source-gems - focus.json set May 20, deadline May 22 (two days ago). No ship evidence.
Escape Room - parked May 20. "Resume when gems ships." Gems hasn't shipped.
Cloudflare Zone Token migration - in CLAUDE.md as "IN PROGRESS, do first next session." Multiple sessions have passed.
Nova Sonic voice agent - explored May 11 (8 commands). Not returned to since.
innovative-solutions portfolio - big push May 5 (197 commands). Then stopped.
focus-guard browser extension - full codebase in Downloads. Status unknown.
sameerai-voice - transcript-bridge.js, bridge-server.js, speak.js. Scaffolded. No return.
Kiro CLI integration - last session (May 24 01:10) was exploring this. Still in "can we connect?" phase.
5. What I Am Avoiding
Shipping 1Q v4. PR1 was code-complete 11 days ago. No TestFlight upload, no App Store submission. You wrote the plan, did the CEO review, the design review, the eng review, locked 50 decisions, built the code, and then walked away.
The Cloudflare Zone Token. Explicitly marked "do first next session" in your instructions file. At least 5 sessions have started since. Each one has done something else.
Closing out open-source-gems. Deadline was May 22. Today is May 24. focus.json still points to it. No evidence of completion or conscious rescheduling.
The 4PM hard stop. Your system says 4PM = screens off. Your data says 7-9 PM is peak activity. Every single active day in the last two weeks shows evening work. The system exists on paper.
Finance Friday. Life system says "Friday 9AM reminder." May 22 (Friday) shows tax activity, but also Gene Keys work until 22:00. The ritual structure exists; the boundary doesn't.
6. Who Am I Working With Most
Blind. No Slack, email, or collaboration tool access. From what I can see:
Claude Code - primary collaborator, daily, growing (42 sessions in 3 days)
Codex CLI - occasional second opinion
Kiro CLI - just started exploring, May 24
No human collaborator names appear in any command, commit message, or memory file. This is a solo operation.
Bimodal pattern. Morning burst 7-9 AM. Quiet midday. Then heavy evening 7-10 PM (the real work block). Late night activity (midnight-1 AM) present on multiple days including today.
The 4PM hard stop and 10PM screens-off from the Life System are not being observed. Most productive sustained blocks happen at night.
8. One Pattern I Might Not See Myself
You build the system that would help you finish things, instead of finishing things.
May 5-6: 746 commands configuring portfolios, tools, hooks, infrastructure. May 11: life systems, voice agents, cron jobs, reminders. May 13: episodic memory, statusline, identity banners, backup scripts. May 15: session routing, Greek-alphabet backends. May 20-24: backend switcher, model router, Kiro integration, more hooks.
The focus system exists. The anti-overcommit rule exists. The pomodoro exists. The redirect scripts exist. The parked-ideas pipeline exists. The weekly retro skill exists. None of them have prevented you from starting MyIntentionalCircle, Special-Agents-for-Founder, FinancialHealthDashboard, GeneKeysAgent, and exploring Kiro CLI in the same week that open-source-gems missed its deadline and 1Q v4 sits unshipped.
The tooling is beautiful. The tooling is the work you love doing. The tooling is also the thing you do instead of the other things.
